This class is a group of flowers set against a bright blue sky with clouds. The flowers are purple but could be any color. These are delicate so good for learning subtle blending but also there is detail in the buds so good for pencil details or sticks if you are brave. The idea of these is ONE to paint a good pastel but TWO to learn skills that translate well to other mediums such as oils. 

I'm going to do it as an 8 x 10 on gray Pastelmat but any good pastel paper such as Canson is fine. You might also choose to do in larger.
